Job summary

Randstad Portugal, on behalf of a renowned multinational client, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for an 8-month maternity cover. The role focuses on financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and modeling to support strategy and decision making.

You will partner with GTM teams, perform variance analysis, prepare reports and dashboards, and contribute to business cases and ROI assessments. Strong Excel, Power BI, and English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Up to 3/5 years of experience in similar tasks.
• Exposure working with GTM and/or Software companies preferable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Excel.
• Power BI & Google Sheet knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to innovate, develop new analysis and reports.
• Energy to contribute and generate improvements.
• Problem solver driven.
• Ability to work in a fast pace company, responding to constant challenge.
• Extremely well organized, reliable, resourceful and detail oriented.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements, performance metrics, and KPIs to assess the financial health of the company and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop financial forecasts and budgets by collaborating with various departments, gathering inputs, and considering market trends, business objectives, and historical data
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to support decision-making, scenario analysis, and long-term planning.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual financial results against budgets, forecasts, and previous periods, identifying reasons for variances and providing actionable insights;
• Decision Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with business partners to analyze investment opportunities, evaluate ROI, and assess project feasibility. Assist in the preparation of business cases and financial models
• Reporting and Presentations: Prepare regular and ad-hoc financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations.
• Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, cost optimization, and business expansion plans.
• BusinessPartnering: Collaborate with GTM cross-functional teams (sales, and marketing), to understand business drivers, align financial goals, and provide financial guidance.
• Financial Planning: Assist in the development and monitoring of the financial plans, including annual budgets, strategic plans, and capital expenditure plans.
• ProcessImprovement: Identify areas for process improvement within the FP&A function. Streamline financial reporting processes, enhance data accuracy, and implement automation tools where applicable. Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial models and analysis tools.
