Job summary

AdvanceWorks is seeking a Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer to strengthen reliability, automation, security, and operations of a cloud-native platform supporting airlines and airports.

You’ll own CI/CD, cloud infrastructure (Azure AKS), IaC with Terraform, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD/FluxCD/Helm), collaborating with international backend and mobile teams. The role offers hybrid work in Carnaxide, Lisbon, with 2–3 onsite days per week.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on DevOps or SRE experience in cloud-native environments.
• Extensive CI/CD expertise, Docker and Kubernetes proficiency.
• Experience with Azure, ideally AKS, and Terraform IaC.
• Proficient with GitHub Actions, GitLab, and GitOps workflows.
• Familiarity with ArgoCD, FluxCD, and Helm for deployment pipelines.
• Strong observability, monitoring, logging, and incident management.
• Security-aware in CI/CD, including secrets management with Vault.
• Experience with artifact repositories (Artifactory, NuGet).
• Interest in AI-driven automation and platform optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the platform’s CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Manage and improve Azure cloud infrastructure including AKS.
• Implement and advance GitOps practices (ArgoCD/FluxCD/Helm).
• Develop IaC with Terraform and manage Docker/Kubernetes environments.
• Enhance observability, logging, and alerting across the stack.
• Incorporate security into DevOps lifecycles and secrets management.
• Support performance/load testing and incident root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with international backend/mobile teams to improve delivery.
• Explore AI-driven approaches to CI/CD, automation, and ops.
