Jaka Lounge is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) to enhance security, reliability and operational maturity of Azure-based platforms. You will collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Operations teams to strengthen security across the SDLC and automate controls.

The role requires 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps with strong Azure and AKS experience, plus a track record in cloud security. Portugal hybrid work model available, offering in-office and remote collaboration.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with AKS and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of cloud security across the SDLC and DevSecOps practices.

Responsabilidades

• Improve the security posture of Azure infrastructure and Kubernetes (AKS) environments.
• Review and remediate security vulnerabilities in collaboration with development teams.
• Implement and optimize application security scanning within CI/CD pipelines (Checkmarx, SonarQube).
• Manage secrets, identities, and access controls using Azure security services.
• Design and improve logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability across applications and infrastructure.
• Review cloud architecture and recommend security, scalability, and operational improvements.
• Drive DevSecOps best practices and security automation across the SDLC.

Jaka Lounge is currently supporting our client in the search for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer(Azure).

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen the security, reliability, and operational maturity of cloud-native platforms running on Azure. You will work closely with Development, Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Operations teams to improve security across the software development lifecycle, automate security controls, and implement best practices across Azure and Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

• Improve the security posture of Azure infrastructure and Kubernetes (AKS) environments
• Review and remediate security vulnerabilities in collaboration with development teams
• Implement and optimize application security scanning within CI/CD pipelines (Checkmarx, SonarQube)

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes security, IAM, Azure Key Vault, Azure Front Door, and Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Experience with vulnerability management and secure software development practices (SSDLC)
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability platforms
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secrets management

Nice to Have

• Experience with Checkmarx and/or SonarQube
• Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and application security best practices
• Experience with Drupal or WordPress environments
