Olisipo is seeking an experienced Observability Engineer to design, build, and maintain the Elastic Stack across Mainframe, Open Systems, and Container platforms in a hybrid Lisbon setting. You will drive observability standards, log retention, and data lifecycle while integrating observability into CI/CD with development and operations teams.

The role requires 5–10 years of hands-on IT experience, strong Elastic Stack and OpenTelemetry knowledge, and professional English at C1 level.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science or engineering.
• 5–10 years experience in IT, focused on observability and production support.
• Deep expertise in Elastic Stack and OpenTelemetry standards.
• Logs, metrics, traces, and alerting + dashboards experience.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; CI/CD tools.
• Familiar with Linux/Windows, shell, and metrics.
• RBAC, access management, REST APIs, and basic security controls.
• Elastic certifications and Azure experience are a plus.
• Professional English C1; French or Dutch a plus.
• EU/Schengen nationality or valid work permit for Portugal.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, optimize, and maintain the Elastic Stack across Mainframe, Open Systems, and Container platforms.
• Drive observability standards, index management, log retention policies, data lifecycle, and security controls.
• Integrate observability solutions into CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development and operations teams.
• Establish application monitoring governance, coding guidelines, and best practices across the organization.
• Lead production troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), P1/P2 incident handling, and release execution.
• Coach and mentor team members to accelerate adoption of new observability solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to estimate effort, design value-driven roadmaps, and report project progress.

Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical equivalent;
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in IT environments focusing on observability and production support;
• Deep expertise in the Elastic Stack (Beats, Elastic Agents, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana) and OpenTelemetry standards;
• Solid background in logs, metrics, traces, golden signals, alerting configuration, and dashboard creation;
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git, UCD, Ansible) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Operating system proficiency: Linux and Windows (fundamentals, shell, metrics);
• Familiarity with RBAC, access management, REST APIs, and basic security controls;
• Elastic certifications and Microsoft Azure experience are a strong plus;
• Professional English C1 (mandatory); French or Dutch is a plus;
• EU/Schengen nationality or valid legal work permit for Portugal (Lisbon hybrid model, CET aligned).
