act digital in Lisbon is seeking a Senior DevOps Coach / Local Manager to lead the Digital Infrastructure team for a top client. You will drive the DevOps transformation, elevate team maturity, and serve as the local manager for 10+ engineers.

The role blends hands-on automation with strategic leadership in a high-impact banking-tech context. The ideal candidate has senior DevOps and coaching background, deep CI/CD tooling expertise, cloud and container experience, and excellent English

Qualificações

• Senior DevOps Engineer or Platform Lead with coaching and people coordination experience.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate a team across DevOps disciplines.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tooling, automation, and modern delivery practices.
• Fluent English (B2) mandatory; Portuguese or French valued as a plus.

• Local Leadership: act as Lisbon manager for a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with Infra management.

• Architecture & Guidance: collaborate to define designs and long-term transformation roadmap.

Are you a seasoned DevOps leader who excels at bridging high-level platform strategy, hands‑on automation, and engineering leadership? Ready to drive culture, tooling, and team growth across a top-tier European banking tech hub?

At act digital, we are recruiting a Senior DevOps Coach / Local Manager to join the Digital Infrastructure team for one of the major client in Lisbon. In this high-impact role, you will lead the DevOps transformation, elevate team maturity, and act as the local manager for an engineering team of 10+ people.

What you will do:

• DevOps Coaching & Culture: Coach development and operations teams to elevate their DevOps maturity, engineering practices, and autonomy through dedicated workshops, training sessions, and continuous improvement roadmaps.
• Local Leadership & People Management: Act as the local Lisbon manager for a multidisciplinary team of 10+ professionals, driving alignment, coordination, and day-to-day relay with Digital Infrastructure management.
• CI/CD & Platform Engineering: Support, evolve, and promote state-of-the-art CI/CD tooling, GitOps, and infrastructure automation standards across application squads.
• Architecture & Strategic Guidance: Collaborate closely with solutions, cloud, container platform, and architecture teams to evaluate technologies, define technical designs, and steer the long-term transformation roadmap.
• Cross-functional Orchestration: Bridge the gap between application developers, IT operations, security, and external partners to eliminate delivery bottlenecks and support the adoption of automated pipelines.

What we are looking for:

• Seniority & Leadership: Proven track record as a Senior DevOps Engineer, Platform Lead, Technical Referent, or Team Lead with strong coaching and people coordination skills.
• CI/CD & Tooling Mastery (Expert): In-depth expertise in modern delivery tooling — GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD, XL Deploy, Nexus, SonarQube, and Ansible.
• Cloud & Containers: Solid hands-on knowledge of Azure Cloud services (and cloud operating models) along with Kubernetes and container platform ecosystems.
• Automation & Scripting: Strong scripting capabilities in Python for tooling, automation, and infrastructure engineering.
• Methodologies & Soft Skills: Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum cross-functional delivery, DevSecOps principles, workshop facilitation, and a proactive mindset with high autonomy.
• Languages: English B2 minimum (mandatory). Portuguese or French is a valued plus.
• Experience operating within financial services, wealth management, or highly regulated enterprise environments.
• Background as a formal Team Leader, Chapter Lead, or Local Manager.
