Job summary

Devoteam is seeking a highly skilled Dev / DevOps Senior Tech Lead to join our nearshore team in Portugal for a major aerospace customer. You will coach engineers, handle L2/L3 escalations, and drive serverless AWS solutions with Go and Angular/TypeScript.

You will collaborate with Portuguese and French teams, lead CI/CD and automation, and help scale the platform while ensuring high-quality code and reliable deployments in production environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering and DevOps.
• Strong Go backend and Angular/TypeScript frontend expertise.
• Deep AWS Serverless experience (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/Aurora).
• Infra as Code with Terraform.
• Proven CI/CD and automated testing know-how.
• Experience with L2/L3 production support and root cause analysis.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Dev / DevOps Senior Tech Lead to join our nearshore team in Portugal for a major aerospace customer. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical authority, coaching engineers, handling complex L2/L3 technical escalations, and driving application and infrastructure development. You will work closely with both Portuguese and French engineering teams to develop robust AWS serverless solutions while ensuring smooth Run & Build integration.

• Act as a technical reference and mentor for the Dev/DevOps engineering team, promoting high standards of code quality and architecture
• Design, develop, and maintain both application software (Go, Angular/TypeScript) and cloud infrastructure (AWS Serverless, Terraform)
• Handle complex L2/L3 technical escalations, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolutions for high-impact issues
• Lead CI/CD pipeline automation, automated testing strategies, and deployment processes across development, QA, and production environments
• Participate actively in the build backlog, developing core features, refactoring existing services, and improving system scalability
• Facilitate knowledge transfer from French build teams and ensure seamless handover of operational support (L2 to L3)
• Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce cloud architecture best practices, and optimize system performance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices
• Strong proficiency in Go (Backend) and Angular / TypeScript (Frontend)
• Deep expertise in AWS Serverless services (AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB/Aurora PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience writing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Solid track record with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and cloud deployment strategies
• Previous experience in handling L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
• Fluent English communication skills (written and spoken)
