Job summary

BNP Paribas Portugal is seeking a Senior Developer to ensure functional consistency and service continuity while supporting development across projects and maintenance efforts.

You will contribute to design and implementation, share knowledge, and coach peers in a hybrid, smart-working environment with strong emphasis on quality and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Advanced level of English, both written and oral.

• Code and test software components as assigned, following development and security norms.
• Assist in design, modelling and implementation to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to delivering product components across environments in collaboration with other teams.

About The Job

• The Senior Developer mission is to contribute to the functional and application related consistency of the IT solution and ensure the service continuity and continuous development. The Developer must perform activities within the framework of projects and/or application maintenance and development seeking continuous development and assuring compliance with Quality and Security guidelines and best practices

Your Main Activities Are

• Code and test software components and parts assigned to them for the technical domains under their responsibility in compliance with development and security norms and standards
• Help in the design, model and implementation of the product’s solution, as necessary, with the objective of optimise the quality of the code and its future maintainability
• Participate in the delivery of the product components in the different environments, in close collaboration with other teams whenever necessary
• Act as a reference in the function and capitalise on the gathered experience to share knowledge, train and coach others

Profile And Skills To Success

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and Computer Science or related
• At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology or similar
• Advanced level of English, both written and oral
• Attention to detail / rigour
• Ability to collaborate / teamwork
• Analytical ability
