Job summary

Valtech, the experience innovation company, is seeking a Senior or Lead Project Manager to join our delivery team on a long-term client engagement in Portugal. You will run complex software delivery end-to-end, collaborate with distributed cross-functional teams across several countries, and own outcomes beyond processes.

The role requires 6+ years in software PM, strong Agile/Scrum, and excellent stakeholder management, with hands-on Jira/Confluence usage and English at B2+.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management experience in software development.
• Client-facing experience on services/agencies.
• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery capability.
• Ownership of scope, timeline and budget on medium to large projects.
• Experience leading distributed teams across countries/time zones.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and control scope, budget and timeline of software delivery projects.
• Act as main client contact for day-to-day delivery and own the project relationship.
• Negotiate scope, priorities and changes with client stakeholders.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and technical issues early with tech leads.
• Allocate work and manage workload across the team.
• Keep distributed teams aligned, motivated and productive.
• Run Agile ceremonies and improve delivery processes.
• Provide regular status reporting to client and management.
• Give performance feedback and mentor junior PMs if applicable.
