Finsolutia is seeking a Senior Data Warehouse - Databricks Engineer to join our Data Team in Lisbon. The role focuses on designing data models, ETL pipelines, and data integration across sources using Databricks, ensuring scalable and efficient DWH operations.

You will also implement data quality, governance, and build impactful Power BI reports to support operational and strategic decision-making. Fluency in English and Portuguese is required, with Spanish a plus.

At Finsolutia we keep expanding! For this reason, we are looking for a Senior Data Warehouse - Databricks Engineer with at least 4-5 years of experience performing similar duties to join our Data Team.

What will you do on a day-to-day basis?

• Designing and developing data models, ETL pipelines and data integration processes in Databricks by integrating data from various sources (databases, APIs, streaming platforms, etc.)
• Ensuring every DWH process precision, efficiency and scalability through monitoring, tuning and optimizing the platform.
• Help expanding data models of our Data Warehouse.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and governance standards.
• Design and build impactful Power BI reports and dashboards (Operational, Strategic & Analytical).
• Define and implement best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes to drive efficiency and quality.
• Deliver insights that help the business monitor KPIs and make informed, data-driven decisions.

What knowledge and skills will you need to have to succeed in the position?

• Proven professional experience with Databricks for designing, implementing and optimizing ETL processes with big amounts of data.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and Modern DWH architecture (incl Medallion Architecture).
• Public Cloud experience (great understanding of Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity, etc).
• Experience in building, using and optimizing agents/skills for the modern LLMs (Claude/Copilot are preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
• Strong expertise with SQL Server and performance optimization.
• Experience with PostgreSQL is strong differentiation point.
• Proficiency in developing and tuning Power BI dashboards and in writing complex DAX statements.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an Enterprise environment OR 7 years in any industry sector.
• At least a secondary school qualification (A-Levels or equivalent).
• Fluency in English and Portuguese. Spanish language knowledge is a big plus.
