Linde Saude in Lisbon/Porto or Barcelona seeks a Senior Data Lead to own data governance and the end-to-end data platform across Europe. You will drive the data & AI transformation roadmap, define standards, and guide multi-country architecture decisions.

The role requires hands-on Databricks/Spark work, Python/SQL, and GDPR-aligned data handling, with leadership of cross-functional teams and budgets. English fluency is essential; Portuguese/Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualificações

• 8+ years in data architecture and data engineering delivering enterprise platforms.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, informatics, or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on Databricks/Spark/Delta in production (lakehouse patterns).
• Experience establishing governance and access controls; familiarity with HL7 v2 / FHIR is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own Data Governance and Data Process framework for Homecare Europe, including definition, implementation and operational management of the Data Platform across countries.
• Lead multi-year Data & AI transformation roadmap for Homecare RSW, overseeing prioritization and architecture evolution.
• Define target lakehouse architecture and phased roadmap for onboarding priority sources and delivering governed data products (Databricks-first).
• Build ingestion and transformation pipelines in Databricks using Python/PySpark and SQL (Delta Lake).
• Set engineering standards for CI/CD, testing, monitoring and runbooks; provide knowledge transfer.

What you will enjoy doing

• You will own the Data Governance and Data Process framework for Homecare Europe, including definition, implementation, and continuous operational management of the Data Platform, ensuring long-term reliability, compliance, and business continuity across multiple countries
• Also you will lead the execution of multi-year Data & AI transformation roadmap for Homecare RSW, overseeing prioritization, architecture evolution, and execution across multiple countries
• Additionally you will act as the RSW authority for Data & AI architecture, defining standards adopted across Homecare RSW and influencing global architectural decisions
• Furthermore you will drive cross-functional governance and represent Data & AI in RSW steering committees, ensuring alignment of data strategy with regulatory, clinical, and operational requirements
• Moreover you will define the target lakehouse architecture and phased roadmap for onboarding priority sources and delivering governed data products (Databricks-first)
• You will build initial ingestion and transformation pipelines in Databricks using Python/PySpark and SQL (Delta Lake), including incremental loads, backfills, and performance tuning
• You will be able to implement governance and security with Unity Catalog (catalogs/schemas, access controls, lineage) and define PII handling aligned with GDPR and internal policies
• Establish data modeling standards and KPI/semantic layer definitions; deliver curated datasets for Power BI and downstream applications/APIs, including guidance on when to use lakehouse/OLAP versus OLTP, NoSQL and key-value stores
• In addition, you will set engineering standards for CI/CD, testing,monitoring, and runbooks; provide knowledge transfer and handover to internalteams
• You will actively participate in digitalization and task automation process, contributing to the company's evolution towards digital transformation
  

What makes you great

• You have 8+ years in data architecture and data engineering delivering enterprise platforms
• You have a Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, informatics, engineer or a related quantitative or technical field
• You have 3+ years hands-on Databricks/Spark/Delta in production (lakehouse patterns)
• You will be able to establishing governance and access controls (Unity Catalog preferred) and handling sensitive/regulated data; familiarity with HL7 v2 / FHIR is a plus
• You are experienced in integrating data from Azure-hosted applications and Microsoft SQL; external providers/IoT data is a plus
• You have experience leading multi-country data or digital transformation programs, ideally in a regulated industry
• You have demonstrated responsibility for budgets and for managing multidisciplinary teams (direct and indirect)
• You speak english, you have additional proficiency inFrench, Portuguese, Spanish and/or German is a plus

• You are able to collect, interpret and use data effectively, driving digital transformation

This role is a full time position based on an unlimited contract. The standard weekly working hours will be from 08:00 hrs till 17:00 hrs.
