AMS OSRAM is hiring a Generative AI & Data Science Engineer to design, build, and scale AI-powered solutions across the company. You will work with ML, forecasting, LLMs, and Copilot-based experiences, collaborating with business and technology teams to deliver measurable impact.

You will prototype and operationalize production-ready AI systems with best practices in MLOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and governance, while ensuring secure, responsible AI adoption and strong collaboration with data

Qualificações

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• Strong background in Data Science and Machine Learning with model evaluation.
• Hands-on experience deploying ML solutions (forecasting, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, classification, optimization).
• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agents.
• Familiarity with MLOps, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Proficient Python coding and production-ready software practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including AI and security services.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure secure and responsible AI adoption with data protection and identity management.
• Create best practices and technical guidance to accelerate AI adoption.

Job description

We're looking for a highly qualified professional to join our AI Center of Excellence as Generative AI & Data Science Engineer (d/m/f). In this role, you will design, build, and scale AI-powered solutions that address real business challenges and deliver measurable impact across the company. You'll work with modern AI technologies, from machine learning and forecasting to LLMs, AI agents, and Copilot-based solutions, collaborating closely with business and technology teams to bring innovative ideas into production, helping shape how we work, innovate, and grow.

Your tasks

• Research, design, develop, and deploy state-of-the‑art Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions that deliver measurable business value
• Build AI‑powered applications, AI agents, and Copilot experiences using Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI technologies
• Design and optimize LLM‑based solutions, including prompt engineering, tool/function calling, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), and agentic workflows
• Evaluate, fine‑tune, and improve AI systems through structured testing, quality measurement, safety guardrails, and hallucination reduction techniques
• Develop and operationalize production‑ready AI solutions by applying best practices in MLOps, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, model lifecycle management, and governance
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and software developers to transform business challenges into scalable AI solutions
• Ensure secure and responsible AI adoption by implementing enterprise security, data protection, identity management, and compliance requirements
• Create best practices, enablement materials, and technical guidance to accelerate AI adoption across the organization
• Act as a trusted advisor, helping teams identify, evaluate, and successfully implement AI opportunities

Profile description

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong background in Data Science and Machine Learning, including data exploration, feature engineering, statistical modeling, and model evaluation
• Hands‑on experience developing and deploying machine learning solutions such as forecasting, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, classification, or optimization models
• Experience working with Generative AI technologies, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agents
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, lifecycle management, and operationalization of AI solutions
• Proficiency in Python and experience writing clean, maintainable, and production‑ready code
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, including AI, data, security, and identity services
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
