Fyre Europe is hiring a Senior Data Engineer / Solutions Architect in Lisbon to scale data infrastructure, integrations and client solutions. You will design scalable data pipelines for high-volume POS transaction data and build integrations with POS providers and technology partners.

The role requires advanced SQL and Python skills, strong cloud experience (GCP) and the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical architectures.

Qualificações

• Five+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture or similar technical role.

We're hiring: Senior Data Engineer / Solutions Architect

Fyre is building the leading data infrastructure and activation platform for the European foodservice and on-trade industry.

We connect directly with POS systems to collect, process and enrich transaction data from restaurants, bars, cafés, hotels and nightclubs. Our technology helps major beverage and FMCG companies understand their market performance and launch more effective commercial strategies.

We are already connected to more than 120,000 outlets across Europe and process large volumes of highly granular transaction data.

We are looking for a Solutions Architect / Data Engineer to join our team in Lisbon and help us scale our data infrastructure, integrations and client solutions.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines processing high volumes of POS transaction data
• Build and maintain integrations with POS providers, technology partners and customer systems
• Translate business and customer requirements into robust technical architectures
• Improve the reliability, quality, monitoring and performance of our data platform
• Structure and transform raw transaction data into consistent and usable datasets
• Develop APIs and data delivery solutions for external partners and clients
• Work closely with product, data science, customer success and commercial teams
• Investigate data issues and implement sustainable solutions rather than temporary fixes
• Define technical standards, documentation and best practices
• Contribute to architecture decisions as Fyre expands into new markets and data sources
• Python and SQL
• CI/CD and infrastructure monitoring

What we are looking for

• At least five years of experience in data engineering, solutions architecture or a comparable technical role
• Advanced SQL and Python skills
• Strong experience designing and operating cloud-based data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery
• Experience with APIs, data integrations and event-driven architectures
• A solid understanding of data modelling, data quality and production monitoring
• The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A pragmatic mindset and the ability to make sound decisions in complex data environments
• Professional fluency in English

Experience with POS systems, transaction data, retail, foodservice, FMCG or SaaS platforms would be particularly valuable.
