Jobgether in Portugal is partnering with a lean engineering team to hire a Senior Software Engineer (Data). You’ll design and deliver data cost management capabilities across backend systems, data pipelines, and visualization to help customers optimize cloud spend.

This is a distributed, autonomous role with ownership from concept to release. You’ll work with experienced engineers and founders in a fast-moving environment, shaping the technical direction and product roadmap while emphasising

Qualificações

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with backend and data engineering focus.
• Experience building data pipelines and data-driven product capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal English; ability to collaborate in a distributed environment.
• Startup/lean team experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build data cost management capabilities including forecasting and cost allocation.
• Develop reliable backend and data-engineering solutions surfacing actionable insights.
• Build data pipelines and transformation models for new capabilities.
• Create data visualization features communicating performance, query timing, efficiency and metrics.
• Develop reusable UI components for a smooth product experience.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and performance through solid engineering practices.
• Own features end to end from concept to release.
• Evaluate tradeoffs to deliver meaningful customer value efficiently.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders through documentation, reviews, and testing.
• Contribute to pragmatic execution and high engineering quality.
