Jobgether is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for the Data Layer in a remote-first setup in Portugal. You will design and evolve storage and query infrastructure for a large-scale orchestration platform, spanning relational databases and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch to ensure data reliability, performance, and availability.

You’ll own initiatives end-to-end, translating product needs into technical designs, and collaborate across Product, QA, SRE, and Support in a remote-first environment.

Qualificações

• At least 4 years of experience as a Backend Software Engineer with production data stores.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MSSQL, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
• Understanding of query performance, indexing, data modeling, and execution plans.
• Experience contributing to complex engineering initiatives from requirements to delivery.
• Ability to troubleshoot data-related production issues and optimize performance.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain backend services storing and serving process data across relational databases and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Own engineering initiatives end-to-end from requirements to production delivery.
• Improve how data is processed, retained, exposed, and streamed for customer access.
• Enhance secondary storage performance and scalability with observability tooling.
• Resolve data-layer production issues and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, SRE, Support, and other teams to meet customer needs.
