Job summary

VIRTHIO is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines for national and international clients across Banking, Services, Energy and Retail in Portugal. You will work with SQL, Python, dbt, and orchestration tools (Airflow, ADF, Dagster), implement Snowflake data warehouses, and apply Kimball/Inmon/Data Vault modeling to deliver robust architectures.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python.
• Extensive experience with ETL/ELT processes and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
• Build, optimize, and modernize data transformations using SQL, Python, and dbt.
• Implement and manage data orchestration workflows (Airflow/ADF/Dagster).
• Design and optimize data warehouses using Snowflake.
• Apply data modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform and leverage AWS services.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
