We are looking for an experienced Senior Cyber Security Governance Specialist to join a global cybersecurity program team responsible for driving cyber strategy execution, governance, risk oversight, and compliance initiatives across multiple business and technology domains. You will play a key role in coordinating cybersecurity programs, challenging risk and compliance evidence, supporting governance activities, and contributing to the modernization of cybersecurity operations through automation and AI-enabled solutions.
Work Model: Hybrid (2–3 days per week in the office – Porto)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the governance, steering, and coordination of cybersecurity programs and projects across multiple regions and business units.
- Monitor project delivery, milestones, risks, dependencies, and elevate attention points when required.
- Prepare project documentation, status reports, risk analyses, and governance materials.
- Coordinate cybersecurity committees, including agenda preparation, reporting, minutes, and action tracking.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, stakeholders, and business areas.
- Collect, assess, and challenge evidence demonstrating compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
- Support alignment activities between cybersecurity teams and governance stakeholders regarding security requirements and remediation plans.
- Track findings, recommendations, and remediation activities through to completion.
- Define, improve, and monitor operational KPIs, reporting metrics, and cybersecurity maturity indicators.
- Identify opportunities to automate governance processes, evidence collection, reporting, and assessment activities.
- Contribute to the implementation of AI-enabled solutions to improve cybersecurity operations and reporting efficiency.
- Perform deep-dive analyses of cybersecurity, risk, and IT operational topics, providing recommendations and strategic insights.
- Develop and maintain relationships with security, risk, compliance, and technology teams across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Cyber Security Governance, Cyber Risk, GRC, IT Risk, or Cybersecurity Program Management.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity domains, risk management, and security governance frameworks.
- Experience conducting assessments, reviewing evidence, validating compliance, and supporting governance processes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity maturity frameworks, control assessments, and security governance methodologies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and cybersecurity requirements applicable to enterprise environments.
- Experience preparing executive reports, governance dashboards, committee materials, and management presentations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience using Power BI for reporting and dashboarding.
- Knowledge of workflow automation tools such as Power Automate.
- Exposure to AI and LLM-based tools and their use within governance, reporting, or cybersecurity processes.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to challenge assumptions and assess risks.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex technical information and communicate it to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across cybersecurity, risk, compliance, and IT domains.
- Professional fluency in English.
- French is considered a plus.
