Job summary

Cloudflare, Inc. is seeking a Customer Reliability Engineer in Lisbon to own high‑severity incidents and drive root‑cause analysis across edge, network, and application layers.

You will partner with Product Engineering to build proactive reliability capabilities and reduce toil for customer support teams. You will shape telemetry, diagnostics, and automation that improve incident response and enable faster resolutions, while aligning with Cloudflare’s AI‑native approach to pre‑diagnose issues

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in site reliability engineering or similar.
• Strong foundation in networking and security including DNS, HTTP/S, TLS/SSL and routing protocols.
• Proficiency with observability and diagnostic tooling.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python).
• Experience with incident management and postmortem culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with enterprise teams.

Responsibilities

• Rapid incident response and root cause analysis across complex stacks.
• Proactive reliability engineering to reduce toil and improve tooling.
• Cross-functional partnership with Product Engineering and Customer Support.
• Technical leadership: mentoring engineers and driving cross-team initiatives.
• Maintain deep product and platform depth across Cloudflare services.
