Job summary

BNP Paribas in Portugal seeks a Senior Credit Data Analyst to perform ongoing data analysis on credit risk parameters and their impact on Risk Weight Assets calculations. You will investigate, test implementations, document data, and work with internal clients to improve processes and regulatory reporting.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Economics/Finance/Accounting, 3+ years in risk, strong Excel/Access and MySQL skills, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in risk and controls.
• Knowledge of law and regulations.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Access).
• Proficient knowledge of MySQL.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Analytical thinking, proactivity and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyse and control the calculation of Risk Weight Assets, monitor and explain.
• Participate in testing new implementations, gathering and documenting data on calculation or systems evolution.
• Collaborate with internal clients to understand needs and drive continuous improvement.
• Support, analyse and monitor information for regulatory purposes.
• Maintain documentation of methodologies, tools, processes and procedures.
• Participate in transversal projects as a key contributor for improvement and decision making.
