Job summary

KWAN is expanding its backend teams in Lisbon, developing scalable microservices on .NET 8. You will design, build and maintain services with asynchronous messaging, integrating with cloud platforms and modern dev practices.

The role embraces a hybrid work model with two days in the Lisbon office and remote-friendly policies. You’ll collaborate with architecture and product teams to deliver secure, observable systems and continuously improve development quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years backend development with C#/.NET
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core / .NET 8, ASP.NET Core Web APIs
• Experience designing and building microservices architectures
• Experience with messaging systems and event-driven architectures
• Cloud experience on Azure or AWS
• Relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Automated testing and clean code practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend microservices in .NET 8
• Implement asynchronous inter-service communication
• Define service boundaries and API contracts
• Develop and deploy in cloud environments with security and performance in mind
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and observability
• Add logging, metrics and tracing for production visibility
• Participate in code reviews and incident analysis
