Nimber in Lisbon is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions in an international environment. You will gather and translate user needs into functional specs, support technical specifications, and ensure high-quality documentation through the development lifecycle.

The role involves testing, coordinating deployments, and contributing to incident resolution, with a focus on Front Office and Middle Office workflows in a hybrid Lisbon setting.

Qualificações

• Minimum experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or similar complex environment.
• Strong understanding of Front Office and Middle Office workflows including P&L, trading, valuation, booking and reporting processes.
• Knowledge of financial products, particularly credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, cash, FX and options.

Responsabilidades

Position: Business Analyst
Location: Lisbon / Hybrid

Job Summary:We are looking for a Business Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders and development teams in an international environment. The role involves gathering and translating user needs into functional specifications, supporting technical specifications, defining and executing functional and regression tests, coordinating deployments, contributing to incident resolution, and ensuring high-quality documentation throughout the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and translate business and user needs into detailed functional specifications.
• Collaborate with development teams in the translation of functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance tests.
• Develop test cases and contribute to automated non-regression testing.
• Validate solutions with end users and ensure business requirements are correctly addressed.
• Participate in workload estimation for development and testing activities.
• Coordinate production deployment activities and ensure smooth implementation.
• Contribute to third-level support by analyzing existing systems, monitoring incident resolution, and troubleshooting issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Develop a strong understanding of the applications and systems supporting the business processes.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial services or a similar complex business environment.
• Knowledge of Front Office and Middle Office workflows, including P&L, trading, valuation, booking, and reporting processes.
• Good knowledge of financial products, particularly credit derivatives, interest rate derivatives, cash, FX, and options.
• Experience in testing and mapping business processes and protocols.
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a service‑oriented mindset.
• English C1 level.
• French B2 is a plus.
• Previous experience with Summit Front Office is a plus.
