Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced backup and storage administrator to ensure the reliability of enterprise backup and recovery systems. You will manage IBM Storage Protect environments across multiple sites, oversee policies and retention, and automate tasks with scripting.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong IBM Storage Protect expertise, and fluency in English. A hybrid work model is offered, with collaboration across IT and security teams to drive continuous improvements.

• Solid experience with AIX and Linux environments, DB2 backups, and protocols like S3/NDMP.
• Proficiency in scripting: Shell, Python, SQL for automation.
• Fluency in English (B2-C1) is mandatory, with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

What will you do?

• Ensure the reliability and integrity of enterprise backup and recovery systems.
• Manage and administer IBM Storage Protect (TSM) environments, including up to 10 TSM servers across multiple sites.
• Oversee backup policies, retention strategies, and storage pools, performing monitoring, troubleshooting, and restore operations.
• Administer tape libraries and media management, ensuring data security and compliance.
• Automate tasks using scripting (Shell, Python, SQL) and develop technical documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and DBA teams, proactively proposing continuous improvements.

What are we looking for?
