Aubay Portugal is looking for a Senior Data Governance professional to join our data team in Lisbon. You will define and implement robust data governance models, promoting best practices across a large-scale organisation and collaborating with technical, business and multidisciplinary teams.

Lead initiatives for Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Business Glossary, Data Catalog and Data Lineage, and establish data quality metrics to ensure data integrity and reliability across cloud and data lake

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance and Data Quality concepts (Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Data Lineage).
• Unity Catalog experience, preferably on Azure Cloud, with strong cloud governance understanding.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Databricks; experience with Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures; relational and NoSQL databases.
• Excellent communication in Portuguese and English for cross-functional collaboration.

What will you do?

• Define and implement robust Data Governance models and solutions, promoting best practices across a large-scale organization.


• Collaborate with technical, business, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective data management strategies.


• Lead initiatives related to Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, Business Glossary, Data Catalog, and Data Lineage.


• Establish and enforce data quality metrics and standards to ensure data integrity and reliability.

What are we looking for?

At Aubay, our focus is on professionals who bring both technical expertise and the right mindset:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience, specifically in Data Governance and Data Quality concepts such as Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, and Data Lineage.


• Mandatory experience with Unity Catalog, preferably within an Azure Cloud environment, showcasing strong understanding of cloud governance principles.


• Proven knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Databricks, alongside experience with Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures, and various database types (relational and NoSQL).


• Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English are essential for interacting effectively with technical, business, and multidisciplinary teams.
