Job summary

Vodafone is seeking a Digital Innovation Back-End Developer to join the Network Operations team in a cross-functional, multicultural environment. You’ll own back-end solutions, contribute to digital product development, and drive best practices across our digital ecosystem.

In this hybrid role, you’ll design and implement scalable services, integrate with front-end apps and enterprise systems, and participate in the full product lifecycle from design to deployment. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of Back-End development experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs and system integration.
• Cloud-based development with containers, orchestration and CI/CD pipelines.
• Secure development practices, API security and data protection.
• Automated testing (unit/integration/API) and code quality emphasis.
• Proficient with Git and modern development ecosystems.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFe).
• Fluent English (C1).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality back-end digital solutions and services.
• Improve performance, reliability, security, and scalability of products.
• Participate in requirements analysis, technical design and solution definition.
• Build back-end architectures with microservices, APIs and integrations.
• Ensure secure data exchange between apps and enterprise platforms.
• Maintain code quality through testing, reviews, and best practices.
• Contribute to team standards and guidelines.
• Work in an Agile delivery framework and CI/CD workflows.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement.
