askblue in Lisbon is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join one of our IT projects. The role is hybrid in Lisbon and offers health insurance, Udemy access, and generous leave (3.5 days per year plus 22 vacation days).

You will work on .NET C# backend systems, microservices, and modern event-driven architectures. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in C#.NET, strong microservices experience, and hands-on cloud, Docker, and Kubernetes knowledge.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of C#.NET experience across backend services.
• Experience designing and deploying microservices architectures.
• 2+ years with event-driven architectures and messaging (Kafka, Pulsar, RabbitMQ).
• Hands-on with NoSQL databases (Elasticsearch, Dynamo, MongoDB, Redis).
• Strong knowledge of cloud deployment, containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to drive technical decisions and mentor engineers. Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Write clean, maintainable backend code in C#.NET within a microservices setup.
• Deliver high-quality software as part of a Scrum/Agile team.
• Develop deep understanding of the codebase and contribute to reviews.
• Document critical systems and create technical guides for broader use.
• Define and participate in SRE standards for monitoring and incident response.
• Lead technical decisions with stakeholders and coordinate risk mitigation.
• Diagnose complex issues with root-cause analysis and automated tests.
• Provide direction for technical improvements and mentor peers.
