Job summary

Nitro seeks a Senior Back End Software Engineer to design, build, and operate the foundational services powering our digital document workflows. You will own services end to end, across a polyglot stack (Python, Go, Rust, Java) on AWS, collaborating with multiple product teams in a fast-paced Dublin/Porto environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Hands-on experience in at least two of Python, Go, Rust, Java.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and IaC tooling.
• Strong systems fundamentals and API design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable, production-grade shared services and libraries.
• Own services across their complete lifecycle from spec to deployment.
• Work across languages (Python, Go, Rust, Java) and cloud-native stack on AWS.
• Improve CI/CD, observability, reliability, and security across Nitro infra.
• Collaborate with engineering managers and product teams in Dublin/Porto.
