1GLOBAL is seeking a senior backend engineer to join our Network API, xSIM Management System, and Recording Platforms team in Lisbon. You will design scalable, fault-tolerant services, implement new features, and improve system reliability while collaborating with a globally distributed team.

5–6+ years of backend experience, strong Go or Java, REST APIs, databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB), and experience with Docker/Kubernetes are expected.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience, preferably Go or Java.
• Strong understanding of concurrency models and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs with performance in mind.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and data modeling.
• Test-driven development and writing unit/integration tests.

Responsabilidades

• Provide accurate effort estimates to support roadmap planning and expectations.
• Design and implement resilient, scalable, secure architectures for backend systems.
• Develop new features and maintain existing Network API, xSIM Management System, and Recording Platforms.
• Write small, incremental enhancements that integrate into existing codebases.
• Maintain and update solutions to keep them modern and reliable.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth development processes.
• Write tests to ensure fast regression and reliable validation of features.
• Implement monitoring and observability for platform components.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and readability.
• Take ownership of end-to-end feature delivery and outcomes.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Engage in team discussions and adopt new ideas/technologies.
