Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering experience with depth in backend product development.
• Strong system-design skills with the ability to explain tradeoffs and long-term implications clearly.
• Experience building and maintaining production software used by real customers.
• Experience contributing to frontend applications, with comfort working across the stack when needed.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication.
• High ownership and initiative: you solve ambiguous problems with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain product features across backend services and selected frontend components.
• Own technical work from problem definition through design, implementation, release, and improvements.
• Make strong architectural decisions involving scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, and performance.
• Modernize existing applications and improve code quality without disrupting critical workflows.
• Partner closely with product managers and engineers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Investigate problems independently and move work forward with limited oversight.
• Review code and raise engineering standards within a small, collaborative team.
