Precise recruitment & selection is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for an international RegTech group delivering compliance solutions across multiple markets. You will design, build and maintain backend services powering the platform with a focus on security, scalability and reliability.

You will work with .NET Core/C#, PostgreSQL, MongoDB/Redis, and cloud-native deployments, collaborating with Product, DevOps and QA to ship robust APIs, data models and integrations with KYC/AML providers

Qualificações

• Strong backend development experience with .NET Core and C#.
• Production-grade REST APIs design and implementation.
• PostgreSQL database design, performance tuning and queries.
• NoSQL experience with MongoDB and Redis.
• Microservices architecture and distributed systems understanding.
• Cloud-native apps on Azure or similar platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Clean, testable, maintainable code and secure coding practices.
• Experience in Agile software development environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer for an international group operating across RegTech, regulatory advisory and financial services, supporting growth across the GCC, Africa and global markets.

Role Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the backend services that power azakaw’s RegTech platform, ensuring secure, scalable and high-performance applications that support compliance-critical workflows across multiple international markets.

You will combine strong software engineering principles with hands-on development, owning backend services, APIs, database performance, third-party integrations and platform reliability while working closely with Product, Engineering and DevOps teams.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new platform capabilities, integrate external compliance providers, optimise data architecture and ensure the platform meets the highest standards of security, performance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend services using .NET Core and C#.
• Building secure, high-performance REST APIs and business logic for compliance workflows.
• Designing and optimising PostgreSQL databases, queries and data models.
• Implementing and maintaining NoSQL solutions including MongoDB and Redis where appropriate.
• Integrating third-party services including KYC, AML, identity verification and regulatory providers.
• Ensuring application performance, scalability, resilience and high availability.
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Participating in peer code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering standards.
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines, containerisation and cloud deployments.
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving production issues across backend services.
• Working closely with Product, QA and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Building secure applications that protect sensitive financial and regulatory data while supporting audit and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Backend Development using .NET Core and C#.
• Demonstrable experience designing and building production-grade REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL database design, optimisation and performance tuning.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience building cloud-native applications using Azure or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to write clean, testable and maintainable code.
• Strong understanding of secure software development principles and OWASP best practices.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Experience with the following is considered a plus

• Financial Services, FinTech or RegTech platforms.
• KYC, AML, Transaction Monitoring or Compliance technologies.
• RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus or event-driven architectures.
