Precise recruitment & selection is hiring a Finance Manager to lead Azakaw Portugal’s finance function, ensuring regulatory compliance and commercially focused financial management for a fast-growing RegTech business. Qualificações

• Strong professional experience in Finance, Accounting or Financial Management within SaaS, technology or regulated financial services.
• Experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Hands-on month-end close, management reporting and statutory compliance.
• Experience preparing Board reporting, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese SNC, IFRS and Portuguese tax regulations.
• Experience payroll, IVA, Corporate Tax (IRC) and statutory reporting.
• Experience implementing or managing cloud accounting systems.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate financial information into commercial insight.
• Proven experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in regulated financial environments.

Responsabilidades

• Building and managing the finance function for Azakaw Portugal.
• Owning the full accounting cycle, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Preparing monthly management accounts, Board Packs and financial analysis for the Group CFO and Board of Directors.
• Managing Portuguese tax, payroll and statutory compliance, ensuring filings are accurate and on time.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and business planning activities.
• Supporting grant funding applications, financial modelling and compliance reporting.
• Managing treasury activities, banking relationships and cash flow forecasting.
• Maintaining intercompany accounting, transfer pricing and group consolidation reporting.
• Working closely with engineering teams to ensure SaaS billing data reconciles with accounting records.
• Implementing and maintaining accounting systems, financial controls and scalable finance processes.
• Supporting automation initiatives and continuous improvement across finance operations.
• Acting as the primary finance contact for auditors, tax authorities and external advisors.
• Providing commercial financial insight to support strategic decision‑making and business growth.

We are hiring a Finance Manager for an international group operating across RegTech, regulatory advisory and financial services, supporting growth across the GCC, Africa and global markets.

Role Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading the finance function for Azakaw Portugal, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance and commercially focused financial management across a fast-growing RegTech business.

You will combine strategic financial leadership with hands‑on execution, owning accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance, treasury and business planning while partnering closely with the Group CFO, Board of Directors and cross‑functional teams.

You will work closely with Finance, Engineering, Product and Leadership teams to build scalable financial processes, support business growth, strengthen financial controls and provide meaningful insight that informs strategic decision‑making.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience in Finance, Accounting or Financial Management within SaaS, technology or regulated financial services.
• Demonstrable experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, management reporting and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience preparing Board reporting, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese accounting standards (SNC), IFRS and Portuguese tax regulations.
• Experience managing payroll, VAT (IVA), Corporate Tax (IRC) and statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience implementing or managing cloud accounting systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial information into commercial insight.
• Proven experience working with senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in regulated financial environments.

Experience with the following is considered a plus

• SaaS or subscription‑based business models.
• RegTech, FinTech or Compliance Technology.
• IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
• Business planning and financial modelling.
• Portuguese and EU grant funding programmes (Portugal 2030, PRR, Horizon Europe, IAPMEI).
• Multi‑entity and multi‑currency finance environments.
• Accounting system implementation (Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar).
• Working with engineering teams on financial data integrations and automation.
• International group reporting.
• Portuguese and English language proficiency.
