Job summary

Match Profiler is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to join a hybrid team in Lisbon, Coimbra, or Braga. The role focuses on Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native microservices, with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker involved in deployment. Strong GCP experience and REST API design are essential; a mature Agile environment is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch indexing, querying, and optimization.
• Experience with Kubernetes and deployment tools like Helm.
• Hands-on API design and RESTful services.
• Proficiency in SQL databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker).

What we are looking for:

Hard skills:

• Java, Spring Boot, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Helm, Elasticsearch, REST APIs, SQL (PostgreSQL), Docker
• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java and strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services
