KCS IT in Porto, Portugal, is seeking an experienced Java Backend developer to join our hybrid team. You will work on backend services using Java 8+ with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of proven backend experience, knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, CI/CD practices, and cloud familiarity (AWS/GCP/Azure). Fluent English is required to communicate in an international environment.

We are looking for an Amazing: JAVA BACKEND

Seniority: Minimum 4-5 years

Type of position: Hybrid (in Porto, Portugal)

The amazing you, will have:

• Minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer.
• Strong knowledge of Java (Java 8 or higher).
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot frameworks (also Maven or Hibernate).
• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and service integration.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
• Fluent English (spoken and written) – used daily in the work environment.
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Understanding of microservices-based architectures.
• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes.
• Experience with Clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure).
