Job summary

Siemens AG in Portugal is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize our AWS environments, ensuring secure, scalable hosting for business-critical apps.

You will partner with infrastructure and software teams to implement IaC (CloudFormation/Terraform), automate CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins), and drive cost and performance improvements across multiple environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with 5+ years of AWS admin/operating experience.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and optimization techniques.
• Solid understanding of networking: HTTP, TLS, DNS, load balancing, routing, delivery concepts.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, automating build/release/deployments.
• IaC with CloudFormation/ Terraform to provision cloud resources.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, security, and efficiency of AWS cloud hosting environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to deliver and operate business-critical solutions.
• Set up and manage AWS cloud environments with focus on cost optimization and resource organization.
• Implement and maintain security policies, access controls, and compliance practices.
• Monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot outages, and resolve performance bottlenecks.
