Dellent is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our Porto hybrid team, focusing on Linux-based environments, security, and deployment tools.

You will work on a banking/financial services project, ensuring high availability, on-call rotations, and seamless integration across platforms while communicating in English with global teams. The role blends hands-on engineering with support and collaboration.

Qualificações

• 9+ years of experience in IT projects and support.
• 6+ years of Linux IT project experience.
• Good Linux knowledge; Windows Server is a plus.
• Scripting in shell; Python proficiency.
• Web server migration and security know-how.
• Experience with monitoring and deployment tools.
• On-call availability for 24/7 operations.
• Good level of English.

Dellent is a consulting company focused in System Information and Telecommunications. Our goal is to help our candidates and consultants to take a step forward in their careers through projects that meet their needs and expectations.

This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, that currently has its technological hub in Portugal and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to work in this project in Porto (Hybrid).

Main Technical Requirements:

• More than 9 years of experience;
• Minimum 6 years of experience on Linux IT Project;
• Good knowledge of Linux environments (Windows Server is a plus);
• Proficiency in scripting languages (shell, phyton);
• Strong understanding in web servers (manage migration from websphere to jboss for example);
• Good knowledge of security: SSL certificates, reverse proxy, loadbalancing;
• General knowledge in scheduler tools (Control-M, VTOM);
• General knowledge of monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, ELK);
• General knowledge of deployments tools (GIT, Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Openshift, Docker);
• Availability for preventive work (applications requires to be available 24/7 this is why it is necessary to have an on call line for the team on non-working hours for maintenances and issues);
• Good level of English.
