Dellent is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our project in Porto or Lisbon, both with hybrid work. You will work on backend microservices, Spring Boot ecosystem, and RESTful APIs for a demanding business banking service in Portugal.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of Java development, strong OO design, and hands-on experience with SQL databases and CI/CD pipelines. Angular frontend exposure is a plus for full-stack work; English fluency (B2/C1) is mandatory, and French is a strong plus.

• Degree in Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• 6+ years of Java software development experience with backend microservices
• Deep proficiency in Spring Boot (3.x) and Spring ecosystem
• Strong Java 17/21 knowledge and OOP/design patterns/multithreading
• Experience in RESTful API design and secure microservices (OAuth2, JWT)
• Solid knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL) and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, XL Deploy/XL Release)
• Frontend exposure with Angular is a strong plus for Fullstack work

This project is part of the business investment banking and financial services area, and currently has its technological hub inPortugal and is working on the development of innovative solutions and support for all operations related to the business.

We are looking for aSenior Java Developerto work in this project inPorto (Hybrid)or Lisbon (Hybrid).

Main Technical Requirements:

• Degree in Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar (equivalent experience will be considered);
• 6+ years of professional experience in Java software development, with a strong focus on backend microservices architecture;
• Deep proficiency in Spring Boot (3.x) and the wider Spring ecosystem (Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA);
• Solid experience in Java (17 / 21), with a strong understanding of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and multithreading;
• Solid experience in RESTful API design, API-first strategies, and secure microservices communication (OAuth2, JWT);
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., Oracle or PostgreSQL), with good skills in data modeling and database access optimization;
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation pipelines (Jenkins, XL Deploy, XL Release or similar);
• Highly valued plus: Experience with Frontend development using Angular (preferably latest versions) to act as a Fullstack Developer.

Other Requirements:

• Fluent in English - minimum B2/C1 level (mandatory);
• French language skills are a strong plus, but not mandatory;
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban, Jira);
• Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills;
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-border/multicultural environment;
• Team player, client-oriented, and highly proactive attitude.
