Job summary

BNP Paribas in Portugal seeks an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Senior Analyst to support CAO activities, develop cross-team collaboration, and assist management with reporting and meetings with customers.

The role involves invoice control, general accounting bookings, fixed assets, VAT reporting, and bank reconciliations. Requires a finance degree, 3–4 years of experience, and English fluency; hybrid work with remote options is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting.
• 3–4 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint).
• Proficient in Financial Software ERP.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to share/pass on knowledge.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Management: ensure correct booking of invoices and assist in reporting documents for management meetings.
• Assist the Management on the preparation of reporting documents and participate in meetings with management/customers.
• Invoice Quality Control: identify missing information and process invoice rejections according to procedures.
• Accounting Bookings and Fixed Assets: perform general accounting bookings, month-end closing, and reporting activities.
• Accounting Controls: perform periodical analyses and VAT/other tax reporting.
• Payments and Bank Reconciliations: generate payment proposals and perform bank reconciliations.
