Job summary

Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a Senior AI Software Engineer to join our Framework & Research environment. You will design, fine-tune, deploy and optimize AI/ML solutions, bridging software engineering with cutting-edge AI across business areas.

You will work on prompts, proofs of concept, data analysis and scalable cloud-native architectures, with a strong emphasis on responsible AI, security and collaboration in an agile setup. Remote work opportunity is available.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• Experienced in software development and scalable distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python and machine learning, with hands-on experience in LLMs and AI experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable AI and ML solutions.
• Design, fine-tune, deploy and optimise AI/ML models for real-world use cases.
• Develop prompts for LLM-based solutions and build proofs of concept for R&D initiatives.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to integrate our teams and join a Framework and Research environment responsible for developing foundational components and cross-functional services used across different business areas.

In this role, you will bridge robust software engineering and cloud-native architecture with innovative Artificial Intelligence solutions. You will design, fine-tune, deploy and optimise custom machine learning and Large Language Model solutions, helping transform research initiatives and proofs of concept into secure, scalable and production-ready capabilities.

What you will do:

• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable applications and innovative AI, machine learning and LLM solutions;
• Design, fine-tune, evaluate, deploy and optimise AI and machine learning models for real-world use cases;
• Develop and refine prompts for LLM-based solutions;
• Build proofs of concept for research and development initiatives using tools such as Jupyter Notebook;
• Explore, process and analyse complex datasets to support experimentation and model development;
• Design scalable, cloud-native architectures and integrate AI capabilities into business applications and shared platforms;
• Implement responsible AI practices, including guardrails, auditability, access controls, secure model usage and data privacy measures;
• Develop reusable APIs, services and foundational components to support AI adoption across multiple business areas;
• Define model evaluation approaches and monitor solution quality, security, performance and operational behaviour;
• Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, data and business teams throughout the solution lifecycle;
• Conduct code reviews, share engineering best practices and mentor other team members;
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes, technical documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you are like:

• Academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field;
• Experienced in software development, database technologies and the design of scalable distributed systems;
• Proficient in Python and experienced in Machine Learning, Generative AI or Data Science;
• Hands-on experience with model fine-tuning, prompt engineering and LLM experimentation;
• Experienced with AI and LLM technologies such as GPT models, Transformers and Hugging Face;
• Able to evaluate model outputs using appropriate quality, safety and performance metrics;
• Experienced with AWS services, particularly Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock, or equivalent Microsoft Azure AI services;
• Solid knowledge of API design and security, data privacy, AI guardrails and responsible or trusted AI practices;
• Experienced in designing and integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications;
• Proficient in problem-solving and comfortable working in Agile and Scrum environments;
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken;
• Relevant AWS, Azure or AI certifications are valued;
• Experience delivering production-grade AI solutions is valued;
• Knowledge of MLOps, model monitoring and AI governance frameworks is valued;
• Backend development experience with C# and .NET or Java and Spring Boot is valued;
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is valued;
• Collaborative and capable of communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Comfortable providing technical guidance, reviewing code and mentoring other engineers.
