Job summary

ITSector in Porto seeks an experienced AI/ML software engineer to design and implement AI-powered applications and intelligent agents in production. You will work with modern LLMs and build scalable pipelines and integrations with enterprise systems.

The role requires 5+ years of software engineering with 3+ years in AI, strong Python and .NET, cloud experience (Azure/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes, and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset. Hybrid work and continuous training are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software engineering experience with 3+ years in AI-powered production.
• Hands-on with GPT, Gemini, Claude, Llama, Mistral or equivalents.
• Design prompting and context-engineering for production LLMs.
• Build AI agent apps using LangChain/LangGraph frameworks.
• Knowledge of agent workflows, multi-step reasoning, memory, tool calls, and orchestration.
• Strong Python development skills; .NET experience mandatory.
• Asynchronous programming, APIs, databases, and SOA.
• AI pipelines for document ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and generation.
• Cloud: Azure or GCP; security, IAM, deployment automation.
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform knowledge; GDPR compliance awareness.
• Portuguese and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications and intelligent agents.
• Build integrations between AI models and enterprise systems through APIs and tools.
• Develop scalable pipelines for knowledge retrieval and information processing.
• Ensure AI solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and production-ready.
• Promote engineering best practices across LLMOps, MLOps, observability, testing, and CI/CD.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and contribute to evolving capabilities.
