Job summary

A luxury hotel in Funchal is seeking a highly skilled Concierge to join our dynamic team for a seasonal period. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting arrivals, assisting with check-in, and creating memorable experiences through local recommendations and thoughtful service.

Requirements include a high school diploma (hospitality education a plus), at least 2 years of guest-service experience, fluency in English and Portuguese, and excellent communication and multitasking

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality management education is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Concierge or in a related guest service role.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; additional languages are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local area attractions and resources.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures.
• Provide personalized recommendations for local attractions, dining options, and activities.
• Arrange transportation services, including airport transfers and car rentals.
• Make reservations for guests at restaurants, shows, or other events.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of current hotel services, amenities, and promotions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Assist with luggage handling as needed.
