iTRTech Group is seeking a Senior SAP HCM Payroll Consultant to join a hybrid team based in Porto/Gaia, Portugal. You will configure SAP German Payroll, analyze German requirements, and ensure compliant payroll processes while collaborating with HR, IT and Finance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of SAP HCM Payroll experience, strong knowledge of German payroll, and is fluent in German and English. Occasional weekly office presence in Porto/Gaia is expected.

SAP HCM PAYROLL CONSULTANT (HYBRID PORTO/GAIA) Portuguese company hires for hybrid position

Location:

Porto/Gaia, Portugal Only candidates already based in Portugal will be considered

Work Model: Hybrid – one day per week at the office

Sector: Automotive Technology Contract: B2 B Rate Between €2700 - 3000 RV (gross value) About The Opportunity You will provide functional and technical support for SAP German Payroll applications, ensuring the stability, compliance and continuous improvement of payroll processes. The position involves analysing German business and legal requirements, configuring SAP solutions, testing changes, resolving incidents and collaborating with HR, Payroll, IT and Finance teams.

Main Responsibilities

Support and maintain SAP HCM German Payroll applications. Analyse and configure payroll-related system changes. Translate German business and legal requirements into SAP solutions. Test payroll configurations and application changes. Investigate and resolve incidents affecting payroll processes and interfaces. Maintain payroll schemas, rules, wage types and related configurations. Support the posting interface with Financial Accounting. Work with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance and external partners. Maintain functional and technical documentation.

Mandatory Requirements At least five years of experience as an SAP HCM Payroll Consultant. Practical experience with SAP HCM German Payroll. Knowledge of German payroll processes, accounting and HR master data. Experience with SAP Payroll configuration and customising. Knowledge of payroll schemas, personnel calculation rules and wage types. Experience analysing requirements and creating functional SAP specifications. Knowledge of payroll posting and FI/CO integration. Experience with ALE technology and SAP integrations.

Basic ABAP knowledge for analysis and debugging. Experience with testing, incident resolution and documentation. Understanding of interfaces with HR, Time Management, Finance and external systems. Fluent German and English. Availability to attend the Porto/Gaia office once per week. The Ideal Profile The ideal candidate has solid experience with SAP HCM German Payroll and is comfortable configuring payroll processes, analysing errors and translating German business or legal requirements into reliable SAP solutions.
