CloserHire seeks a Russian↔English translator/interpretation specialist to work remotely from mainland Portugal. The role focuses on accurate translation, cultural nuance, and neutral delivery while handling several industries and strict linguistic rules.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and strong Russian fluency plus C1-level English. EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit is required, with reliability, autonomy, and disciplined work habits emphasized.

A working week in Portugal (remote), in Russian. 1040 EUR (w/room).

A typical day

You'll spend most of it on render correct concepts and meanings between Russian and English following complexity, clarity, tone, and style from one language into another, uphold the correct rules for grammar and syntax in both languages, provide strict renditions of the messages including every detail of the conversation, follow instructions of customers, manage the flow of the call and avoid taking over the call, and understand protocol and terminology at the customer service level in the following industries: Insurance, Legal, Medicine (General and Forensic).

Would you fit?

We're looking for someone with russian language level, both oral and written, as well as C1 English High School Diploma (mandatory), education in languages/translation/interpretation or related fields will be considered as an advantage, excellent listening, retention and note-taking skills, ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication, ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective, reliable, autonomous and highly disciplined, and confident and organized.
