Galp in Sines is seeking a maintenance engineer to lead preventive strategies for rotating equipment in the Iberian refinery landscape, including green hydrogen initiatives. You will drive predictive maintenance systems, perform risk analyses, and mentor teams to ensure reliable, available operations.

You will translate technical findings into clear inputs for leadership, balancing OEM and operations priorities while owning equipment reliability and contract oversight.

Qualificações

• Advanced knowledge of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring practices.
• Experience with RCA and data-driven decision making in refinery/industrial settings.
• Ability to manage technical maintenance contracts and lead stakeholders.

You will joint the Industrial business unit that includes the refining, logistics, and cogeneration activities in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as the project to transform the Sines refinery through green hydrogen and biofuels.

About your future Team

Define and drive the preventive maintenance strategy (time-based and condition-based) for electrical equipment, guided by predictive monitoring and data-driven analysis, to ensure equipment availability and reliability.

How will your Day-to-Day look like:

• Define and update the preventive maintenance strategy (time and condition-based), monitoring equipment through predictive systems and issuing recommendations upon early failure detection.
• Drive the development and improvement of existing and new predictive maintenance systems.
• Act as refinery-wide Technical Authority, leading risk analysis and the most complex, high-impact Root Cause Analyses.
• Influence operational and OEM teams to ensure timely execution of recommended maintenance actions.
• Manage predictive maintenance contracts and own the reliability and availability performance of monitored equipment.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear, concise input for non-technical audiences, including leadership.
