Job summary

The Instituto de Telecomunicações in Aveiro is opening a Research Initiation Grant to work on a Driver for wireless laboratory transmission systems. The project focuses on designing a DC supply and bias network for RF amplifier stages with high stability.

Work will be performed at IT Aveiro under the supervision of Prof. Telmo Reis Cunha, with a start date around November 2026. Duration is 6 months, possible renewal up to 1 year, and the grant is paid monthly.

Qualifications

• Students enrolled in a professional higher technical course, undergraduate degree, integrated master's degree or master's degree, to undertake initial R&D activities.
• Students enrolled in non-degree courses integrated in the educational project of a higher education institution, in association with R&D units.
• Bachelor or Master student in electronics engineering with strong background on electronics, signal processing, telecommunications basics and system theory.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing the Driver's power supply section and bias voltages for RF stages.
• Test and validate the laboratory Driver in a lab environment connected to 220 VAC.
• Contribute to the phased development of the high-power RF amplifier system.
