Job summary

VIA Outlets is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for a Full-time role at our Lisbon outlet. You will lead a dynamic team, focus on customer service, and uphold brand standards in surfwear and sportswear retail. Availability within the next two months is expected.

The role requires experience in retail, strong communication, and familiarity with Visual Merchandising. Language skills are an asset, and the position offers industry-friendly training and employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact in absence of the person in charge.
• Ensure excellent communication up and down; present store activity reports.
• Lead by example and ensure team adherence to store rules.
• Know safety procedures and how to contact the right people in emergencies.
• Ensure anti-theft systems are in place for all products.
• Train team members and ensure optimal stock management and store operations.
• Organize and optimize store stock and routines for opening/closing.
• Foster team cohesion and convey company culture.

Duties

• Be the main point of contact in the absence of the person in charge.
• Ensure excellent communication up and down. Present a report on the store's activity to both your team and your managers.
• Be exemplary in all aspects, 100% BOARDRIDERS and ensure that the entire team is also exemplary. Wear your personal badge in a visible place. Check that the team complies with the rules.
• Know the safety procedures to be applied in case of need (fire, electrical problems, etc.) and know who to contact in case of need.
• Ensure that all products in both your section and the store have the anti-theft system.
• Ensure that all team members are committed to being effective in this field or be able to train them appropriately.
• Have the right to exercise control over the organization and optimization of the management of the store's stock. Be available to propose a method adapted to each situation. Ensure that the store maintenance procedures are followed both during the opening and closing of the store.
• Transmit a philosophy, a culture. Ensure adequate group cohesion to guarantee productive work. Know in detail the management rules set by the person in charge, in order to be able to replace him in case he is absent.
