Job summary

Decskill is growing and looking for a Site Reliability Engineer for a new project. Based in Lisbon, you will focus on resilience across complex services in a telco context, improving end-to-end reliability.

You will work with Google Cloud, Apigee, and modern frontend/backend stacks, collaborating with architecture and tech leads. Travel to the UK every two months is required, with opportunities for international projects.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing resilient design and SRE best practices.
• Ability to analyze downstream/upstream failures and user impact.
• Experience with cloud-first architectures and security considerations.
• Willingness to travel internationally and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement standards for resilient design across services.
• Assess failure modes in downstream services and customer experience impact.
• Design and implement fallback mechanisms and circuit breakers where appropriate.
• Address E2E resilience along the customer journey and set timeouts.
• Engage with architecture and Tech Leads early in SDLC for improvements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex operational issues.
