Job summary

Intermedia is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to improve the reliability of our AI and analytics platforms in Portugal. You will partner with AI, data, product, and platform teams to build scalable, observable systems that deliver dependable insights and resilient customer experiences.

While primarily remote, this role requires occasional visits to the office in Coimbra or Aveiro, with a future Porto office planned, enabling collaboration and teamwork when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4-7 years of production operations, SRE/DevOps, and distributed systems experience.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, and data analytics technologies.

Responsibilities

• Run and improve production environments supporting AI and analytics workloads.
• Build automation to manage cloud infra, data platforms, model-serving infra.
• Define and measure service level indicators, objectives, and error budgets for AI services.
• Create end-to-end observability linking metrics, logs, and traces with data-quality signals.
• Monitor reliability, performance, capacity, and cost of batch and streaming workloads.
• Collaborate with data engineering and ML teams to productionize workflows.
• Automate CI/CD and readiness checks for data pipelines and dashboards.
• Lead incident response and post-incident improvements.
