Job summary

Olisipo is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead a team of Architects and drive the architecture strategy across domains. You will ensure secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions while balancing technical debt with business needs.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and hands-on experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms across Europe. This is a 100% remote position with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Solid experience in Software/Solution Architecture.
• Experience in technical leadership or team management.
• Strong background in Software Engineering and Distributed Systems.
• Experience with AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Resilience.
• Ability to manage technical debt and balance business needs with technological sustainability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong strategic thinking and execution skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Solution Architects.
• Define the architecture strategy, vision and roadmap, in line with Enterprise Architecture.
• Ensure architectural alignment across different business areas and domains.
• Manage and reduce technical debt, ensuring the evolution and sustainability of the platforms.
• Promote scalable, secure, cloud-native and fault-tolerant architectures.
• Define and implement practices for High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Resilience.
• Provide technical support to the Engineering and Product teams in defining solutions.
• Promote modern patterns such as Event-Driven Architecture, Domain-Driven Design and API-First.
• Ensure alignment between Engineering, Architecture, Security and Product.
