Sovos, a leading tax compliance software company, is hiring a Software Engineer II in Porto, Portugal. You will contribute to building and maintaining tax software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of software development experience, strong Node.js/JavaScript and React skills, and fluency in Portuguese and English. The role emphasizes TDD/CI and ongoing learning in a dynamic, AI-enabled environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science/software engineering.
• 1–3 years of software development experience.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js/JavaScript and React.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and tools.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from planning to delivery.
• Develop with TDD and CI practices, leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve code quality.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, QA, and design teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code aligned with Sovos standards and conventions in areas like databases, web development, or SAP integration.
• Mentor with senior developers to solve problems and maintain documentation.
