Job summary

Reachdesk is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team and help scale a global gifting platform. You will design, develop, and maintain features across backend I/O and frontend interfaces, collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship robust solutions.

The role requires 3+ years of software development experience, working across Ruby on Rails, Python, SQL, and React, with a focus on reliability, performance, and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development in a product-focused company.
• Versatile across backend and frontend; comfortable moving across layers.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, relational databases, and SQL; optimize queries.
• Frontend experience with React and modern JavaScript; integrate RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and documenting them.
• Practical experience with automated testing (RSpec, Jest) and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: design, develop, and maintain features across the platform.
• API and MCP Development: build and document public/internal APIs and MCP server.
• AI-Assisted Engineering: use AI tools in coding, testing, and documentation.
• Technical Ownership: uphold engineering standards; code reviews, testing, performance.
• DevOps Practices: monitor, log, and ensure system reliability and performance.
