Reachdesk, a global SaaS gifting platform, is hiring a Software Engineer for a remote role focused on building scalable APIs and AI-powered tooling from Porto, Portugal. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship robust features, improve performance, and drive reliability across the platform.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of software engineering experience, strong Rails and SQL background, and hands-on experience with AI development tools, testing, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualificações

• Solid Software Engineering experience in a product-focused environment.
• Versatile across backend and frontend; willingness to learn across layers.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on with AI development tools and prompts to improve code quality.
• Familiarity with automated testing (RSpec/Jest/RTL) and CI/CD.
• Experience with monitoring and performance tools (Sentry, DataDog, New Relic, Sidekiq).
• Strong problem-solving and production issue resolution skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build, enhance, and maintain public/internal APIs and MCP server.
• Apply AI tools as part of daily development workflow while ensuring quality.
• Uphold high engineering standards through reviews, testing, performance and accessibility.
• Advocate for DevOps best practices including monitoring, incidents, and reliability.
