Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer, AI Orchestration to join a fully remote team based in Portugal. You will build the core engine for AI workflows, ensure reliable and observable executions, and integrate with AI agent frameworks.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, production-grade software, and ownership in a distributed engineering culture. You will work on backend services, drive reliability and performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate AI use

Qualificações

• Production-grade backend systems experience in Java.
• Solid understanding of agentic AI workflows and lifecycle management.
• Experience with distributed, observable, and resilient backend services.
• Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and container orchestration.
• Experience deploying AI-powered systems in production.

Responsabilidades

• Design core execution primitives for AI workflow orchestration.
• Build integrations with LLM providers and AI agent frameworks.
• Collaborate with teams to translate AI use cases into orchestration patterns.
• Ensure observability, traceability, and debuggability of executions.
• Improve reliability, scalability and fault tolerance of pipelines.
• Contribute to backend architecture decisions and performance improvements.
• Stay updated on AI orchestration tech to enhance capabilities.
